Before You Hire Me
“I will clean to a standard. The standard is ‘a guest is coming over.’ Not ‘royalty is coming over.’ Set expectations accordingly.”
“If you have one of those decorative bowls full of small things, I will not know what to do with the small things. I will leave the small things. We will not speak of them.”
“I do the regular clean, not the deep clean. If you ask for a deep clean, I will quote you. After that, you will not ask again.”
“Vacuum gets it 95% of the way. The last 5% requires a level of dedication I no longer possess. I can refer you to someone with that energy. They will charge more.”
Pricing
Below market because we’re neighbors. No above-market rate exists — I don’t take work outside Barcelona Lane. However, if the work hasn’t been done in a while, we could far exceed market prices and go into supermarket prices. And we know how expensive things are now at the grocery store… oops, off track.
Quote-based pricing.
Cleaning jobs are too varied for a one-size price list — condo size, frequency, scope, add-ons, all of it changes the number. I do the work myself, so I quote each job honestly after a quick walk-through. Recurring service rates drop after the first visit.
