8+ yards a week on the lane and the surrounding neighborhood. Mowing, edging, trimming, seasonal cleanups. The yard your neighbors comment on.
What this covers
Regular weekly service or one-off cleanups. Same yard, same week, same standard.
Standard rotation. Same day, same time, same neighbor doing it.
Crisp lines around walkways, beds, and driveways. The detail your eye picks up.
Spring opening, fall leaves, winter prep. Once or twice a year, scheduled in advance.
Overgrown stretch, vacation prep, before-the-photos rush. Ask and I'll quote it.
Before You Hire Me
“The work may be a little rough around the edges. But subpar work keeps the HOA off your back, and that's the actual product.”
“The mower has feelings, opinions, and one good wheel. I work around all three.”
“I do not own a leaf blower with multiple speed settings. I own one with one speed. It's loud. We move on.”
“If you want crisp golf-course lines, hire a real company. If you want your yard to look like you have your life together, that I can do.”
“Sometimes a stretch of grass gets missed. I notice it after I've loaded up. The decision is whether I unload again. The grass usually loses.”
“There is a corner of every yard where the geometry of the property and the geometry of my mower fundamentally disagree. The geometry wins.”
“If a small toy gets caught in the mower, the blade and the toy will negotiate. The blade wins, but it takes a minute.”
“If my lawn mower breaks and I have to use scissors, you will have to eat some of that cost with me as far as my time. But I will give you a fair discount if it's your scissors I have to use.”
“If you complain about how early I begin cutting, your neighbors will be upset with you. Because if I get a letter from the HOA, I will refuse to do anyone else's landscaping. But I will tell all of the neighbors why. And they will come to your house with baked goods. I would tread lightly if I were you.”
“If you wait three weeks to get your lawn cut thinking you're saving money — let me help you with that. You're not. I will charge you three times the amount. This relationship works both ways.”
Pricing
Below market because we’re neighbors. No above-market rate exists — I don’t take work outside Barcelona Lane. However, if the work hasn’t been done in a while, we could far exceed market prices and go into supermarket prices. And we know how expensive things are now at the grocery store… oops, off track.
Quote-based pricing.
Quotes are based on size of the yard, number of bushes and trees, and frequency of service. I'll walk the property with you, give you a number on the spot, and stick to it. Recurring weekly rotation drops the rate after the first cut.
Hypothetically Speaking
“I'll take the trimmings from someone else's yard and place them on the bushes I just trimmed at your place. The bushes will look fine. The grass underneath will tell a different story.”
“My edger has a peculiar feature — it forgets the edge of one specific yard at a time. It's never forgotten yours. Yet.”
“I keep a small jar of dandelion seeds in my truck. It's never been opened. It's never needed to be.”
“I'm known on the lane as ‘the gust of wind.’ Leaves from non-paying clients have been observed migrating to specific driveways. Don't ask me how.”
“The mower has been known to spell things only the HOA can read from above. I can't control it.”
“If you don't pay, the HOA letter you were never going to get will arrive within seven business days. I'm not the HOA. I just know their schedule.”
“Don’t give my number out to anyone who still owes you money. The math doesn’t change when it comes to me. If they couldn’t pay you back for the lawn chair they borrowed two years ago, they’re not paying me for the yard. Spare us both.”

How to Pay
Four ways. None of them get bonus points. I have customers who use all four.
Tipping is never expected and never refused. Same goes for fresh-baked cookies at the door.
